The Information contained on this CD-ROM has been compiled from many
sources, such as the Internet, Information archives and Submissions
from current users.
You can press the "HELP" key at any time whilst on the main encyclopedia
screen to access the on-line help screens.
System Requirements
-------------------
Minimum: AGA Amiga, 4mb Ram, 2x CD-ROM.
Recommended: AGA Amiga, 6mb Ram, 4x CD-ROM.
AmiCDFS
-------
AmiCD FileSystem is a more advanced CDFileSystem than the standard
"Commodore" filesystem, Although this CD should work fine on any CD-ROM
drive, We recommend that you have either AmiCDFS or AsimCDFS installed
for your CD file-system.
Please note however that not all CD-ROM drives require this software to
be installed. eg: Zappo Drives (See Below)
When installing this software, please read the on-screen information
carefully.
The default setup of the supplied version of AmiCDFS is for a Squirrel
interface connected to a SCSI drive, you may need to change the "icon
information" appropriately to match you CD-ROM drive.
For more information see the Amiga-Guide file contained in the
AmiCDFileSystem directory of this CD.
If you have any problems please call our tecnical team on
+44 (0) 1793 422 355 Monday-Friday.
Known problems!
---------------
* The Encyclopedia will run on a 4mb Amiga but many of the functions
such as Audio/Video film-clips may be un-viewable. This also applies
to the main "Demo" and "Experience" sequences.
* If you do encounter problems running the CD the most common problem is
that you you are not running AmiCDFS. You will need to install it
before the Encyclopedia is used.
(see above).
* Zappo drives simply need the latest version of the driver software
installed, this can be found in the FREEDATA directory of this CD.
* Software running in the background, such as a clock or VirusKiller can
cause the Encyclopedia to fail to load.
* IControl "Avoid Flicker" is ticked - This needs to be UN-Ticked if running
on a standard PAL monitor.
* Reno CD-ROMs - upon installation seem to de-grade Workbench3 down to
Workbench2, so you may need to copy across all you Workbench3
directories apart from the "S" directory, this should fix the problem.
* Although the Encyclopedia will work fine on a 6mb Amiga, you may
encounter very low memory situations if you have been or are running
other programs, This can cause "sound" problems.
* The mathieeedoubbas.library may be corrupt, the correct size of the
mathieeedoubbas.library is 5240 bytes.
